SPRINGS RUNS HOT° — WE KEEP IT COLD°

Whether you need refrigerator temperatures for catering and produce, or freezer temperatures for frozen desserts and ice cream — our trailers do both.

Our trailers are delivered to your location and stay on-site for the duration of your rental — customers do not tow or transport them.

When a walk-in goes down in the middle of dinner service, every minute is inventory on the line — and across Colorado Springs, Keep It Cold° is the call. The restaurants along the Tejon Street corridor downtown, the kitchens of Old Colorado City, and the dining rooms of Manitou Springs all run hard through the summer, and when a compressor fails or a walk-in quits, there’s no time to wait on a parts order. We deliver refrigerated and freezer trailers same-day, park them on-site, and get your product back to temperature before you lose it. When your walk-in goes down, you call us — we go the distance.

Beyond the emergencies, we’re the professional partner Colorado Springs counts on for planned projects. When restaurants schedule kitchen remodels, when Colorado Springs School District 11 and Academy School District 20 renovate cafeteria and kitchen facilities, and when UCHealth Memorial Hospital and Penrose-St. Francis run facility upgrades that take a cold room offline, our multi-day rentals keep operations running through the work. We support the dining facilities at Fort Carson, Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever Space Force Base, and the NORAD/Peterson complex when their kitchens go under renovation. One trailer, delivered and parked for the duration — fridge or freezer, your choice.

And when the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb brings the crowds up the mountain, the vendors and hospitality crews behind the event count on cold storage that shows up and stays put.

Vending an event in Colorado Springs? El Paso County Public Health runs the same Colorado state code as Denver — cold food at 41°F or below (§3-501.16(A)), 14-day permit cap — but a noticeably simpler process: a straightforward two-tier Retail Food Special Event Permit instead of Denver’s commissary affidavit and full licensing route. Fees run roughly $250–425 by tier and event count. Colorado is not one market — full comparison to Denver in our Festival Vendor Cold Storage Guide.

COLORADO SPRINGS COLD° STORAGE — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What's the minimum rental period?

Our standard minimum is 1 day. Most rentals are 1–3 days for events. Longer-term rentals available — call to discuss.

What power does the trailer require?

A standard 110V outlet — dedicated 20-amp circuit, no GFCI. Not sure if your venue or job site has one? Call us and we’ll help you check.

Do I have to tow or pick up the trailer?

No. Our trailers are delivered to your location and stay on-site for the duration of your rental — customers do not tow or transport them.

My walk-in just went down — can you get a trailer here today?

That’s exactly what we’re built for. We run same-day and emergency refrigeration across Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. Call 719-283-7599 now and we’ll get a trailer rolling to you before you lose the inventory.

Can you handle a multi-day kitchen remodel or facility renovation?

Yes. Restaurant kitchen remodels, Colorado Springs School District 11 and Academy School District 20 cafeteria renovations, UCHealth Memorial and Penrose-St. Francis facility upgrades, and dining facility work at Fort Carson, Peterson SFB, and Schriever SFB — we deliver a trailer and park it on-site for the full duration of the project. Call 719-283-7599 with your dates and we’ll confirm availability.

Can your trailers handle Colorado Springs heat and altitude?

Absolutely. Our trailers hold refrigerator and freezer temperatures through the hottest Front Range afternoons, and altitude doesn’t affect performance — a mile-plus above sea level doesn’t faze a Keep It Cold° trailer.

Can I use ice instead of a refrigerated trailer at a Colorado Springs festival?

The rule doesn’t single out ice chests, but El Paso County enforces the same state cold-holding requirement as Denver — 41°F or below under §3-501.16(A) of Colorado’s Retail Food Establishment Rules (6 CCR 1010-2). Holding that number reliably with ice alone over a multi-day event is tough, which is why mechanical refrigeration is the safe standard. See the full Colorado Springs / El Paso County rules.
