BIG D, BIGGER CHILL° — WE KEEP DALLAS COLD°

Whether you need refrigerator temperatures for catering and produce, or freezer temperatures for frozen desserts and ice cream — our trailers do both.

Our trailers are delivered to your location and stay on-site for the duration of your rental — customers do not tow or transport them.

Dallas eats out, and it eats out everywhere — the packed restaurant corridor through Deep Ellum, the polished kitchens of Uptown, and the independent darlings of Bishop Arts keep some of the busiest dining rooms in Texas running at full tilt. When a walk-in cooler fails or a compressor drops in the middle of a dinner rush, the clock starts on thousands of dollars in product. Keep It Cold° is the call when your walk-in goes down. We deliver emergency same-day refrigeration across Dallas — walk-in coolers and freezers staged fast at your back door so a failed compressor never shuts your kitchen down or spoils your inventory.

Dallas also plans big, and planned cold is its own discipline. We provide multi-day rental refrigeration for restaurant kitchen remodels, institutional renovations across major medical anchors like UT Southwestern, Parkland, and Baylor, and dining-services upgrades at the Fortune 500 corporate campuses that define the metroplex. From a hospital cafeteria renovation to a corporate dining buildout, KIC is the professional partner who keeps the cold chain intact on a schedule — right-sized capacity, clean coordination, and food safety that holds through every phase of the project.

The State Fair of Texas turns Dallas into the biggest food event in the state each fall — exactly the scale of cold demand we’re built to support.

If you’re vending in Dallas, read this before you pack a cooler. The city’s Temporary Food Guidelines are unambiguous: “All TCS foods requiring refrigeration must be stored at a temperature not to exceed 41°F or colder,” and — the one that catches people out — “Ice chests are not allowed for maintaining cold food temperatures.” A cooler of ice is not a cold-holding method here; it’s a beverage box. Full breakdown of Dallas’s rules, and how they compare to Fort Worth, Austin and the rest of Texas, in our Festival Vendor Cold Storage Guide.

DALLAS COLD° STORAGE — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What's the minimum rental period?

Our standard minimum is 1 day. Most rentals are 1–3 days for events. Longer-term rentals available — call to discuss.

What power does the trailer require?

A standard 110V outlet — dedicated 20-amp circuit, no GFCI. Hosting out at Fair Park, a country club, or an outdoor venue without easy power? Call us and we’ll help you check.

Do I have to tow or pick up the trailer?

No. Our trailers are delivered to your location and stay on-site for the duration of your rental — customers do not tow or transport them.

How far outside Dallas do you deliver?

We serve the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas within roughly 70 miles of the metro core. If you’re farther out — say East Texas toward Tyler or Palestine — call us anyway and we’ll tell you straight whether we can reach you.

How much fits inside a refrigerated trailer?

A rough guide: an 8′ trailer holds about 247 cubic feet and a 12′ holds about 379 cubic feet — plenty for pallets, sheet pans, kegs, or buckets. Not sure what you need? Use our Space Calculator or call us and we’ll size it with you.

My walk-in cooler just went down before an event — can you help today?

Yes. Same-day emergency delivery is what we do best. We back up country clubs, caterers, and restaurants across DFW when a walk-in fails right before a big weekend. One call and we’re on the way.

Can I get a trailer the same day in Dallas?

Usually, yes — we keep inventory ready across the Metroplex for exactly this. Call early and we’ll do everything we can to get cold storage to you today.

Can I use ice instead of a refrigerated trailer at a Dallas festival?

No. Dallas is explicit about this: per the city’s Temporary Food Guidelines, “Ice chests are not allowed for maintaining cold food temperatures,” and “Mechanical holding units are required in each booth.” A cooler of ice is treated as a beverage box, not a cold-holding method — a refrigerated trailer is required. See the full Dallas rules.
