LEXINGTON COLD° STORAGE — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the minimum rental period?

Our standard minimum is 1 day. Most rentals are 1–3 days for events. Longer-term rentals available — call to discuss.

What power does the trailer require?

A standard 110V outlet — dedicated 20-amp circuit, no GFCI. Not sure if your venue has one? Call us and we’ll help you check. Most Lexington event venues and restaurant loading docks have a compatible outlet. Outdoor setups at Keeneland or the Kentucky Horse Park may require a generator — we can advise on generator compatibility before delivery.

Do I need to drive or tow the trailer?

No. Our trailers are delivered to your location by our team and stay on-site for the duration of your rental. You do not tow or transport them. We handle delivery and pickup — you just plug it in and keep things cold.

Do you deliver to Keeneland and UK game-day tailgates?

Yes. We deliver to Keeneland for the spring and fall meets, to Kentucky Horse Park events, and to Big Blue Nation tailgates around Kroger Field and Rupp Arena. Book ahead for big event weekends — those dates fill up fast. Call 502-398-6121 to lock in your trailer.

Do you serve bourbon trail events and equine industry catering?

Absolutely — this is one of our most common Lexington use cases. Whether you’re catering a private event at Woodford Reserve, supplying a hospitality tent at the Kentucky Horse Park, or managing cold storage for a farm-to-table dinner on a Bluegrass horse farm, we’ve done it. What's the service area from Lexington?

Can I use ice instead of a refrigerated trailer at a Lexington festival?

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department’s rule doesn’t call out ice chests specifically — it simply requires cold food held at 41°F or below (hot food at 135°F or above) under Food Service Regulation #19.
